We worked with a renowned multi-specialty hospital chain to help facilitate a merger of two mid-sized hospital units. This chain of hospitals focuses on achieving excellence in medical treatment while ensuring they remain socially relevant. They strive to be accessible to all, as the go-to hospital for dealing with medical complexities.

Situation

As part of their expansion plan, this chain of hospitals was going through a merger of two mid-size hospital units within the short period of 2.5 weeks. In order to ensure seamless transfer of power, the senior leadership team reached out for support in this merger.

Action

To support and aid in achieving a seamless merger, we worked on designing an HR policy manual that maintained the overall values, attitudes, expectations and processes that aligned with this parent hospital, to ensure that the staff of the new hospital were able to access their revised working guidelines, post the merger. We also assisted with the HR integration and seamlessly completed the onboarding process to support the merger.

Outcome

This resulted in a seamless transfer of leadership, HR integration and onboarding of new staff. We also brought about alignment of hospital policies and processes to the parent hospital.
